Why PLCs? Don’t we collaborate already? What is
collaboration? According to Richard and Rebecca DuFour and Robert Eaker,
collaboration is “a systematic process in which we work together interdependently to analyze and impact interdependently. Teams must work
interdependently in order for all to benefit. To begin this journey, we must
ask ourselves four important questions:
1.
What is
it we expect students to learn?
2.
How will we know when they have learned it?
3.
How will we respond when they don’t learn?
4.
How will we respond when they already know it?
